Welcome to our Employment team, part of the Civil Department which also covers housing, community care, education, employment, welfare benefits, and debt.

What we do in the Employment team

We can provide advice and assistance on a range of employment matters such as unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, constructive unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, TUPE, employees' rights at work.

It also includes regulatory proceedings before panels such as Fitness to Practice Panels and Conduct and Competence Committees of professional bodies (including CQC, CSCI, CSIW, GDC, GMC, GOC, GSCC, GTC, HPC, NMC, RCVS).

We take statutory appeals against decisions of these professional bodies.

We cover medical and health care law, professional conduct law.

We provide advice and assistance and representation at the CST (Care Standards Tribunal) and challenges against PoVA, PoCA, and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
